What is a Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
A Regions CheckCard is a convenient banking service that allows you to access your funds without the hassle of writing a check or carrying cash. The amount of your purchase is withdrawn directly from your checking account. Detailed transaction information is listed on your monthly statement.

 

 

How do I make purchases with my new Platinum CheckCard?
Simply present your card to the cashier, or select the "credit" option when prompted, and sign your receipt. Some merchants may ask you to enter your PIN. If you prefer, you may indicate to the cashier that you would like to complete your purchase as a credit transaction. Either method is fine but selecting "credit" gives you all your Platinum CheckCard benefits, plus Visa's Zero Liability, and you can avoid extra usage fees that some transactions might otherwise require. And if you use your Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard to place a phone or Internet order, simply provide your card number and expiration date. All purchases, regardless of the method by which they are completed, will be deducted right from your Regions checking account.

 

 

What is the difference between the regular Platinum Visa CheckCard and the Access Platinum Visa CheckCard?
The Access Platinum Visa CheckCard has double cash back with Regions CheckCard Rewards for 12 months and also has a higher daily POS spending limit of $10,000.

 

 

How is the Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard different from a credit card?
The CheckCard is not a credit card. With Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard, you access funds directly from your checking account so you can use the card without worrying about paying interest or a monthly bill. When you make a purchase, the amount is automatically deducted from your checking account balance.

 

 

Where can I use my Regions CheckCard?
A Regions CheckCard can be used for purchases at millions of locations that accept Visa® Debit worldwide. You may also use the CheckCard for ATM transactions at any Regions ATMs and at more than 627,000 non-Regions ATMs worldwide>

 

 

How do I know which ATMs will accept my Regions CheckCard?

You may use your Regions CheckCard at any ATM displaying the PLUS or Visa® logos.

 

 

Can I select my own "Secret Code" for ATM Transactions and Purchases using a Secret Code?

Yes! You may select a 4-digit secret code, which allows you the convenience of using "memorable dates", names, etc.

 

 

How do I make purchases with my new Platinum CheckCard?

What happens when I need to select "credit" or "debit" on a keypad?

Can I have more than one Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
Yes. You can have one CheckCard for each person listed on your checking account signature card. If you have two or more checking accounts, you may have Regions Visa CheckCards for each account.

 

 

Can I access more than one account with each Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
You may link up to 10 of your accounts to a single card. Your designated checking account is the funding account for non-Regions ATM transactions and for purchases at Visa® merchants.

 

 

Is there a daily limit on PIN and/or signature purchases with the Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
Yes. You can purchase merchandise and services up to $5,000 daily, or $10,000 for the Access CheckCard, at any business that accepts the Visa CheckCard.

 

 

Is there a daily limit on ATM cash withdrawals using the Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
Your daily cash withdrawal limit with your ATM or Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard is $600. Of course, you should not exceed your checking account balance.

 

 

What is the cost for a Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
The Regions CheckCard is Free with any personal checking account.

 

 

Is there a finance charge for using a Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
There is no finance charge for using the Regions CheckCard, since purchases are deducted directly from your Regions checking account.

 

 

How can I activate my Regions Platinum Visa CheckCard?
You can activate any Regions Visa CheckCard by calling the automated customer service line at 1-800-295-VISA (8472) and selecting option 2.

 

 

Once I order a card how long will it take to receive it?
Order turn around time is 5-7 business days.

 

 

Safety Tips when using ATMs
For your protection and to ensure that you are the only one with access to your account, please observe these safety tips when using an ATM:

  • Do not use an ATM if you are uncomfortable with the surroundings. If suspicious-looking individuals are loitering about, wait until the premise is clear or use another ATM.
  • Avoid using ATMs alone. Have someone accompany you, especially at night.
  • At night, choose an ATM that is well-lit.
  • Park as close as possible to the ATM.
  • When using a drive-up ATM, be sure that all doors are locked and all passenger windows are closed.
  • Have your card out and be ready when you approach the ATM. Complete any forms beforehand.
  • Be aware of the surrounding areas. Don't hesitate to cancel the transaction and leave if anything seems suspicious.
  • Don't display cash near the ATM. Count it later. Contact us if there is a discrepancy.
  • Use ATMs only where you feel safe.
  • Memorize your ATM Secret Code. Never write your Secret Code on your card or keep it in your wallet or purse.
  • Do not give information about your account or your Secret Code to strangers.
  • Stand directly in front of the ATM so no one else can see the Secret Code you enter.
  • Keep your ATM receipt. Personal account information may be printed on it.
  • Inspect your monthly statement, and report any unusual or unauthorized transactions.

Can I use my Visa CheckCard overseas?

Yes, you can use your Consumer or Business Visa CheckCard to make purchases at millions of locations all over the world. You can also withdraw money at nearly one million Visa/Plus® ATMs. Please keep the following information in mind when planning to travel outside of the U.S.:

  • If you are planning on traveling abroad, please let us know so that we can make adjustments to ensure that your Visa CheckCard will work in the foreign country in which you plan to travel. You can do this by calling the automated customer service line at 1-800-295-VISA (8472) and pressing option 3 "To activate your Regions Visa CheckCard for International use". You will then enter your SSN followed by your Regions Visa CheckCard number and your dates of travel.
  • When obtaining cash at an ATM in a foreign country, money will be dispensed in local currency. Also, there will be an International Service Assessment (ISA) fee of 3% applied to purchases or an ATM convenience fee may apply. Your Visa CheckCard can also be used at financial institutions outside the U.S. for cash advances without a cash advance fee.

 

 

How do I dispute a suspicious charge on my Regions CheckCard?
If you would like to dispute a suspicious charge on your Regions CheckCard, please call 1-800-295-VISA (8472) or visit your local branch to complete the necessary paperwork.
