Regions provides financial assistance to help fund many organizations that administer community service programs to low- and moderate-income individuals, revitalize and stabilize low and moderate income areas, provide homebuyer education and financial literacy programs, as well as many other services that help to strengthen the communities in which we serve.
Regions has also sponsored projects such as the Nashville Symphony's Capital Campaign for a new concert center. This center adds a vital element to the city's cultural life by enhancing Nashville's musical character and establishing itself as a leading downtown destination. In Orlando, Regions sponsored the annual Shakespeare in the Park Festival in conjunction with the University of Central Florida. In Birmingham, Regions has committed funds to the Sixteenth Street Foundation for the restoration, preservation and maintenance of the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. The church figured prominently in the Civil Rights movement and attracts more than 200,000 visitors annually to downtown Birmingham.
