Regions provides financial assistance to help fund many organizations that administer community service programs to low- and moderate-income individuals, revitalize and stabilize low and moderate income areas, provide homebuyer education and financial literacy programs, as well as many other services that help to strengthen the communities in which we serve.
Numerous organizations received contributions from Regions in 2008 including the American Red Cross, Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald House, and March of Dimes. Additional examples of our financial support include the donation of a branch in Memphis, Tennessee to Hope Credit Union, a community development credit union that helps low-income people build a solid financial foundation for a better future; a donation of bikes to Boys and Girls Clubs in Florida and Georgia to be used for incentive programs for academic achievement; and providing financial support for a project at Auburn University to develop designs for a $20,000 affordable home which could revolutionize housing for some of the nation’s poorest individuals.
