Toby Wilt played halfback for Vanderbilt University from 1963 until 1965 and still uses the experience he gained during those years for his current business endeavors.

Name: Toby Wilt
Alma Mater: Vanderbilt University
Sport: Football
Position: Halfback
Years Played: 1963-1965

Business: TSW Investment Company

Wilt graduated from Vanderbilt in 1967 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  Following graduation, he was a pilot in the US Air Force and after leaving the armed forces Wilt moved into the financial business world where he currently remains.  He was a CPA at Ernst & Ernst and a Venture Capital Investor before opening his business, TSW Investment Company, in 1987.

TSW Investment Company is a private investment company that Wilt opened as a way to employ personal capital.  “TSW is unique because it uses partnership with others to collaborate on investment decisions,” Wilt said.

Wilt feels that TSW has been successful in part because of the skills he learned during his football career at Vanderbilt.  “Team sports and big business parallel each other.  Athletics builds teamwork and teamwork is the base for most business endeavors,” he said.

Wilt remains active in the Nashville community where he lives and works.  He is involved in the Music City Bowl, the Tennessee Golf Foundation and Belmont University and the Massey School.
