As an offensive tackle for the University of Florida from 1981 to 1984, Trimble received Academic All-SEC honors and ended his senior season with the Gators winning the first SEC Championship in school history. He went on to graduate with his bachelor's degree in history in 1985 and his master's degree in education in 1987.
After working for 13 years in the logistics and transportation industry — and during that time seeing a need for a strong local carrier — Trimble opened Trimble Logistics Companies in 2004. The company offers interstate transportation and driver services for retail distribution, as well as warehousing and driver services for the trade show industry. With offices in Orlando, Fla., and Atlanta, Ga., Trimble's company serves clients in Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
Delivering success — whether on the field or on the interstate — requires the same focus, Trimble says.
"As is the case with most sports, we require teamwork to get the job done right," said Trimble. "Without everyone pulling together, we cannot get our customers the equipment they need or deliver the freight on time."
