What does this locked padlock symbol mean?
The locked padlock symbol indicates that the information you submit on this website is safe and secure. We will protect the information you supply by encrypting it. Regions uses digital certificates to assure that when you access our secured Web sites, you are actually communicating with Regions and not an imposter.
RegionsNet Online Banking is a secure site so there will always be a locked padlock displayed in the lower right hand corner of your browser. Please do not divulge any personal information to a Web site that does not display this locked padlock. In addition to the padlock symbol, make sure you check for the other hints listed below.
Online Safety Information:
- If you receive an email asking you to provide your RegionsNet Online ID, Password, or Social Security Number, please contact us at 1-800-REGIONS immediately. We will never ask for your personal information through an email.
- If you should receive an email with a link in it, you can verify that it is fraudulent by scrolling over the link and looking for in the address that appears in the bottom left corner of the browser. If it does not contain "http://www.regions.com/" at the beginning of the address, it is a fraudulent web site. Below is an example of a fraudulent link.
- A sign-on is required before access is allowed to your data. Your PIN (Personal Identification Number) is displayed as dots when you enter it.
- To prevent unauthorized access to your accounts when you step away from your computer, your Online Banking session automatically signs off after 10 minutes. It is best to sign-off or close your browser after completing your banking session.
