Creating a Payee

Before you can pay bills, the payee list should be established. A payee can be your utility provider, your phone company or your landscaping service - anyone to whom you would normally send a check. If you want, try setting yourself up as a payee and making a payment; you'll see how easy and reliable it is.

Step 1 : Place your mouse on Payments at the top of the screen. Then click Add Payee to begin entering merchants. You'll need a recent bill or statement to get started.
Step 2 : You can define your own payee or use the merchant list with over 1,300 common payees to complete payee setup quickly. The merchant list includes utilities, credit cards, insurance companies and more. To use our merchant list, you may search by category or search the entire payee list. Select the option you prefer, enter the requested information in the boxes provided, and click Search .
Step 3 : Select the appropriate payee from the Payee Name list. Then select the address shown on your bill. If none of the addresses match, please use the Define Your Own option.
Step 4 : Enter a Nickname and Account Number for your payee. The nickname can be anything you would like to use to identify this payee.
Step 5 : When you have finished entering the payee details, click Submit to confirm the new payee.
