1. LifeGreen Checking is free for students for five years up to the age of 25.
† For accounts opened in Iowa, this fee is subject to Iowa State Sales Tax of 5%, which will be assessed at the time the fee is charged, unless exempt.
We'll waive the $5 monthly service fee when you open a LifeGreen Checking account if you do ONE of the following:
- Make at least 15 electronic transactions per month (including purchases with your Regions Platinum Visa® Checkcard) OR
- Maintain a $500 average monthly statement balance in your LifeGreen Checking account OR
- Use Direct Deposit (at least one payroll or government direct deposit per month of at least $10)
We also waive the fee for students (up to the age of 25) and for customers age 50 or better.
Avoid fees with Overdraft Protection.
We understand that things happen. Simply link your LifeGreen Checking account to another Regions savings, money market, or credit account and you can avoid overdrawing your checking account.
Non-Sufficient Funds fees are $35. With Overdraft Protection, you pay a lower transfer fee instead.
