Regions Bank Visa® Gift Card - Frequently Asked Questions

Congratulations on receiving the Regions Bank Visa Gift Card (your “Card”) – the gift you can use wherever Visa debit and prepaid cards are accepted, including online.

What should I do before using my Card? Activate your Card according to the instructions on the sticker attached to the face of the Card. Please sign the back of your Card in ink before using it for the first time to help ensure that it cannot be used by anyone else. Also, you should write down your Card number and keep it in a separate place just in case it is lost or stolen. It’s also a good idea to know your Card’s balance before you use it because merchants will not be able to check your balance for you.

How do I use my Card? Your Card is a prepaid card that lets you shop at millions of locations that accept Visa debit and prepaid cards. Since it is a prepaid card, your spending is limited to the amount of money placed on the Card by the purchaser. Each time you use your Card, the total dollar amount of purchases made with your Card will be auto­matically deducted from the value of the Card. You may give the Card to a gift recipient but you are NOT permitted to resell the Card. When you make a purchase with your Card, give your Card to the cashier. You will be asked to sign the receipt. If using a keypad, swipe the Card through the keypad and push the “credit” (or “cancel”) button, then sign the purchase receipt. Do not push “debit” or your pur­chase will be declined.

May I use my Card to get cash from an ATM? No. Your Card does not provide access to cash. Nor does it come with a personal identification number.

How do I verify my Card balance? Knowing your Card bal­ance before you shop will help assure that your Card is accepted. You can check your balance 24 hours a day, each day of the year, at www.RegionsPrepaid.com or by calling 877-847-7214.

Can I add value to my Card? No. Once the value of your Card has been depleted, the Card is no longer valid and should be cut in half and discarded. However, we recommend that you retain your Card at least until you are sure that you do not intend to return any merchandise you purchased using the Card. A Card can be purchased with $25-$500 pre-loaded.

What fees will apply? It’s important to use your Card promptly because you will be charged a maintenance fee of $2.50 per month if there are any funds remaining on the card twelve (12) months from the date of purchase, subject to applicable law. What if my Card is lost or stolen? Please call us right away at 877-847-7214 so that we can cancel your Card, verify the information you provide, and issue you a replacement Card. A replacement Card will be issued unless the bal­ance on the Card is equal to or less than the amount of the replacement fee. Please keep your Card number in a safe place – you will need it for Card replacement. There is a $4.95 replacement fee, subject to applicable law.
