Carolyn Pierce: Fuel for Learning

Regions Bank has awarded its top honor for associates – the Better Life Award – to Carolyn Pierce, a City President in Clarksville, Tennessee. Once a year, Pierce organizes a homemade ice cream freeze-off fundraiser, where people make donations to taste and vote for their favorite homemade ice cream flavor created by community members, including Pierce. The proceeds go to support F.U.E.L. Ministries, a nonprofit organization that works through local churches to fill backpacks with “fuel,” or food, to help needy children avoid going hungry on weekends or school breaks. Regions is donating $1,000 to F.U.E.L. on Pierce’s behalf.
