Health and Welfare Benefit

You may continue to participate in your Regions benefits while on leave of absence (LOA). 

Your benefit premiums will be withheld from each Regions paycheck you receive during your LOA.

If you do not receive a paycheck from Regions, an invoice will be mailed to your home address reflecting the benefit premiums owed for that payday. You will be responsible for mailing in payment to Regions Corporate Benefits for your biweekly benefit premiums.

Failure to make your premium payment(s) in a timely manner will result in the cancellation of your benefits. Please note that canceled benefits may only be reinstated upon receipt of the entire overdue balance.

401(k) Loan Repayments

401(k) loan payments will continue to be deducted from your regular pay (pay processed in Workday) if there is enough pay to cover the payment during your leave. No 401(k) loan payments will be deducted from any disability pay you may receive from Cigna. If there is not enough pay to cover your loan payment, you may submit payments to MassMutual. 

Call MassMutual at 1-800-701-8892 to discuss the procedure for submitting missed loan payments. If you do not make loan payments while on leave or miss a payment(s), the loan will be re-amortized when you return to work. The maturity date will remain the same as the original loan; the interest rate will be the interest rate in effect at the time of the re-amortization (Prime Rate + 1%). This will result in a higher loan payment.
