Enrollment Letter from Dave Keenan

Dear Regions Associates:

Your Total Rewards as a Regions associate includes comprehensive benefits that help protect the health, finances and future of you and your family. During Open Enrollment, you have the opportunity to turn your benefit options into peace of mind by selecting benefits that:

  • Promote the health and wellness of you and your family
  • Provide financial security in the event of your disability or death
  • Help balance your personal responsibilities and work life

Our annual evaluation of the costs and coverage of the Regions benefits plan resulted in very few changes for 2020, but there are a few enhancements worth highlighting:

  • The salary bands for associate contributions are changing resulting in lower payroll deductions for many associates. The new salary bands, based on annual total Eligible Compensation for 2018, are as follows: $70,000 and under, between $70,000 to $140,000, and over $140,000
  • We are adding behavioral health benefits through Teladoc by phone or video. Taking care of your mental health is an important part of your overall well-being, and Regions wants associates to have easy access to mental health professionals. Associates and dependents age 18 and older on the Regions Medical Plan will be able to get confidential counseling for conditions like stress, anxiety, depression, grief, family issues and more. You can choose to see a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker or therapist for a $25 copay. (Core deductible applies.) Mental health benefits through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and the Employee Assistance Program remain available
  • To cover the anticipated increase in medical plan costs in 2020, there will be small increases to associate contributions, but the salary band change will offset the increase for many associates
  • Last, but not least, I am happy to announce that for the third year in a row, Regions will be able to provide associates with a medical “premium holiday” due to your good claims experience. On the November 29, 2019 paycheck, no associate medical deductions will be taken for any associate covered by our medical plans as of September 30, 2019

A list of other benefits changes can be found on the Changes to Your 2020 Benefits page within the benefits portal at benefits.regions.com.

I would like to encourage you to spend time learning about your benefits options. Surprisingly, some money-saving, reward-earning and life-enhancing benefits are underutilized by Regions associates, such as:

  • Vitality Wellness Program — Earn gift card rewards for health improvement activities. Approximately $200,000 in rewards have been redeemed in 2019 so far!
  • Healthcare BlueBook (Core HDHP participants) — Shop for the best quality, cost-efficient providers

The Regions team is stronger than ever, and I am proud to offer this benefits package to my fellow associates as we share success in providing value to our customers, communities and families.
