Credit Services Analyst

As an entry-level member of the Credit Products team at Regions, the Credit Services Analyst is responsible for supporting teams within Credit Services by handling activities common to most/all teams that can be more effectively accomplished in a centralized function.

Primary responsibilities:

The person in this position is expected to: (a) develop proficient credit and underwriting skills through performing the position’s primary responsibilities/duties and through training provided by Regions; (b) develop relationships with the Debt Products Organization (DPO) teams that he/she supports; and (c) join one of those DPO teams after demonstrating mastery of responsibilities in Shared Services.

Additional responsibilities include, but at not limited to:

  • Spread borrower interim and year-end financial statements in Moody’s Risk Analyst (MRA) and potentially in other software programs as well, if applicable
  • Test interim and year-end covenant compliance calculations
  • Test interim and year-end benchmarks, if applicable
  • Spread and analyze guarantor financial information
  • Prepares risk rating models on borrowers and guarantors
  • Prepare Ongoing Monitoring packages and Periodic Assessment packages
  • Prepare credit approval packages on small (relative to total credit exposure) credit facility renewals, settlement risk renewals, P-Card renewals, etc.
  • Prepare tenant analysis in CRE transactions (when tenant is not borrower).

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • Four or more years of commercial loan underwriting, analysis or portfolio management experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
