Investing in the Future

Regions associates can expect more for the future. As soon as you join Regions, you can begin contributing to the Regions
401(k) Plan. Regions will match all or part of your contributions, whether you choose pre-tax, Roth after- tax, or a combination of both after 12 consecutive months of employment. Also, you gain immediate ownership in the Regions’ matching contributions with no waiting period.

Another way Regions associates can expect more for their future is through the Dependent Scholarship Program, which offers scholarship assistance to qualifying dependents of Regions associates.  Regions sponsors this program to make life better for our associates by providing generous dependent scholarships based on academic achievement and financial need.

Investing in the Future of Associates

We made life better for Regions Mortgage Loan Originator, Marta Sanchez of Knoxville, Tenn., who is a proud mother of three children – all of whom are close in age and will be in college at the same time.  She has instilled values in her children that will take them far in life.  But, it is lessons like what her employer does for her that she wants them to share with others.

Marta's oldest son, Eduardo, is a junior at the University of South Carolina studying International Business and the recipient of the Regions Dependent Scholarship.  "The generous support of Regions has allowed my son to pursue his academic aspiration of attaining a degree in International Business," said Marta.

While Eduardo still has some time to decide where he's going in life, thanks to Regions, he will take his education with him.  "As a single mother, it is not always easy raising three teenagers.  It makes me proud to work for a company who values the importance of education. This scholarship has made it possible for my son to follow his dreams.  It also shows Eduardo the importance of giving back," added Marta.

Many associates, like Marta, have dependents who can benefit from one of the scholarships offered through the Regions Dependent Scholarship Program.

Also as a way of investing in the future, Regions encourages associates to give back to the communities we serve. Through the What A Difference A Day Makes program, associates are given one day off per year, with pay, to volunteer in the community.
