Regions' has a long tradition of supporting its communities. Through charitable giving, Regions, its associates, and affiliated foundations helped sustain hundreds of agencies, including many that receive United Way support.
Regions provides financial assistance to help fund many organizations that administer community service programs to low- and moderate-income individuals, revitalize and stabilize low and moderate income areas, provide homebuyer education and financial literacy programs, as well as many other services that help to strengthen the communities in which we serve.
Numerous organizations received contributions from Regions in 2010 including the American Cancer Society, Junior Achievement, Boys & Girls Club, and United Way. Additional examples of our financial support include a donation to the Birmingham City Schools for a 5 year financial literacy program in all Birmingham high schools; a donation to EverFi, Inc to provide financial literacy in 14 middle and high schools located in the Atlanta Public Schools; and financial support for a project at Auburn University's School of Architecture to develop designs for a $20,000 affordable home which could revolutionize housing for some of the nation's poorest individuals.
