Regions Business Capital Division Executive
Tim Eichenlaub is Executive Managing Director and Division Executive for Regions Business Capital. Tim joined Regions Business Capital as Credit Executive in 2014, bringing over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has spent most of his career focused on lending and investing activities within the middle market, including risk management, business development, portfolio management, loan workouts, capital markets, and mezzanine and equity investing. His experience spans several major financial institutions. Tim earned a BA from Grove City College and an MS in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Southern Region President
Don Smith is Managing Director and Regions Business Capital Southern Region President. He is responsible for oversight of the Southern Region, which includes teams in Atlanta, Birmingham and Charlotte that handle relationship management and new business development for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. Don joined Regions in April 2006 after 22 years with another major financial institution. His experience includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, loan workouts, private equity group lending, large corporate and middle market lending, aircraft finance, government contract finance and healthcare finance. He earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University and a BA in Finance/Accounting from Furman University.

Northern Region President
Gene Wilson is Managing Director and Regions Business Capital Northern Region President. In addition to oversight of the New York office, he is responsible for the Retail Finance, Supply Chain Finance, and Lender Finance specialty businesses. Gene joined Regions in April 2006, after 22 years with another major financial institution. His experience includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, private equity group lending, large corporate lending, middle market corporate banking, risk management and retail banking management. Gene is a member of the Corporate Finance Association, a member of the board of directors of a non-profit organization in New York City, and is a prior graduate of Leadership Georgia and Leadership Augusta. He earned a BBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia and a Certificate in International Business from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands.

Western Region President
Brian Tornow is Managing Director and Western Region President for Regions Business Capital. He is responsible for oversight of the Western Region, which includes teams in Chicago and Dallas that handle relationship management and new business development for the Midwest, the Southwest, and ABL Energy Finance. Brian rejoined Regions Business Capital in September 2010, with over 25 years of banking and business experience, after a 3-year stint as president of a Texas distribution concern. He built out the Chicago office and then relocated to Atlanta in 2015, to lead the National Origination team. In January 2017, Brian became the Western Region President. His banking experience spans leveraged finance, including cash flow and asset-based lending, auditing, underwriting, portfolio administration, origination, and management. Brian earned a BA in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and is a CPA.

Mark Smith is Managing Director and Regions Business Capital Underwriting Executive. He has oversight of all new portfolio underwriting. Mark joined Regions in April 2008, bringing more than 20 years of diversified financial experience. Prior to joining Regions, Mark held leadership positions with other large financial institutions. His background includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, workouts, middle market lending, auditing, and collateral examination. Mark was also the Director of Financial Reporting for a publicly traded retailer and a Manager at a large public accounting firm. He earned a BS in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
Fred Cecil is Senior Vice President and Regions Business Capital Credit Executive. He is responsible for credit oversight of the Regions Business Capital portfolio. Fred joined Regions Business Capital as Credit Executive in July 2017, after holding various credit leadership roles at Regions over 10 years, including Credit Executive for Regional Corporate Banking. Fred came to Regions with over 29 years of banking experience from another major financial institution. His background includes business unit management, relationship management, and risk management in the areas of retail, small business, asset-based lending, and corporate lending. Fred earned a BA in Accounting from Duke University.
