Timothy (Tim) Eichenlaub
Regions Business Capital Division Executive
Tim joined Regions in 2014, bringing over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has spent the majority of his career focused on lending and investing activities within the middle market, including experience in risk management, business development, portfolio management, loan workouts, capital markets, and mezzanine and equity investing. He has previously worked at AloStar Bank of Commerce, the CIT Group, GE Capital and Heller Financial. He started his career with Mellon Bank, where he completed Mellon’s credit training program. Tim received a BA degree from Grove City College and a Master of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Donald E. Smith, Jr.
Southern Region President
Don joined Regions in April 2006 after 22 years with another major financial institution. His experience includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, workout, private equity group lending, large corporate and middle market lending, aircraft finance, government contract finance and healthcare. He earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Georgia State University and a BA in Finance/Accounting from Furman University.
W. Eugene Wilson, Jr. (Gene)
Northern Region President
Gene joined Regions in April 2006, after 22 years with another major financial institution. His experience includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, private equity group lending, large corporate lending, middle market corporate banking, risk management and retail banking management. He is a current member of the Advocacy Committee of the Corporate Finance Association and a member of the board of directors for two non-profit organizations in New York. Gene is also a prior graduate of Leadership Georgia and Leadership Augusta. He earned a BBA in Banking and Finance from the University of Georgia and a Certificate in International Business from Nijenrode University in the Netherlands.
Brian L. Tornow
Western Region President
Brian first joined Regions in 2006 from Wachovia Bank, nka Wells Fargo. He next served as President of Selecta Corporation for three years and then rejoined Regions in September 2010.  From 2012-2014 he managed and built out the Chicago office and in 2015 he was promoted to handle National Origination and relocated to Atlanta.  In January 2017, Brian became the Western Region President, managing associates located in Chicago and Dallas.  He has over 30 years of experience in the areas of leveraged finance, including cash flow and asset based lending and has worked in auditing, underwriting, portfolio administration, sales and management.  Brian earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and is a CPA.
Marianne T. Cordora
National Origination Executive
Marianne Cordora joined Regions Business Capital in 2009 as a Managing Director and Syndicate Executive, focusing on structuring and syndicating middle market and large corporate asset-based (“ABL”) senior debt transactions to support mergers, acquisitions, dividend recapitalizations, and other debt needs for clients. In January, 2017, Marianne was promoted to manage the National Origination effort.  Prior to joining Regions, Marianne worked in the Syndication and Business Capital groups at Wells Fargo and Bank of America. She earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Ursinus College.
C. Mark Smith
Underwriting Executive
Mark joined Regions in April 2008, bringing more than 20 years of diversified financial experience.  Prior to joining Regions, Mark held leadership positions with other financial institutions.  His background includes asset-based lending, leveraged finance, workouts, middle market lending and collateral examination.  Mark was also the Director of Financial Reporting for a publicly traded retailer and a manager at an accounting firm.  He earned a BS in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Virginia.
Fred Cecil
Credit Executive
Fred joined Regions Business Capital as Credit Executive in July 2017, after holding various credit leadership roles at Regions over 10 years, including Credit Executive for Regional Corporate Banking. Fred came to Regions with over 29 years of banking experience from another major financial institution. His background includes business unit management, relationship management, and risk management in the areas of retail, small business, asset-based lending and corporate lending. Fred earned a BA in Accounting from Duke University.
Beverly Gray
Senior Credit Officer
Beverly joined Regions Business Capital in August 2014.  Prior to that, she spent 6 years with another financial institution as the National Portfolio Manager for their Business Capital unit and regional head of the commercial bank asset disposition group.  Beverly has over 30 years of lending experience including asset-based lending, leasing, leveraged cash flow, workouts and loan restructurings.  She earned both a BA and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Salvatore Esposito
Senior Credit Officer
Sal joined Regions Business Capital in July 2015 bringing more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He started in credit with a small bank and then worked for four other financial institutions serving in a variety of roles including relationship management, workout, risk review, risk management, and investment analysis and management. Sal earned a BS in Economics and Finance from Canisius College and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Duquesne University.
