Alerts & Notifications

Alerts make it easy to live in the moment.

Get easy access to the information you need to manage your finances, when you need it.

Alerts1 send up-to-date account information directly to you via convenient push, SMS/text message2 and email notifications. You can tailor your alerts selection so that you have details about your account and banking activity at your fingertips.

Account alerts can be customized to help you monitor your balance, track deposits and withdrawals, and more. You can add and edit delivery methods so that you choose how you want Regions to send you alerts. Plus, for certain transaction alerts you can set dollar amount thresholds, so you decide how many alerts you want to receive.

Examples of account alerts:

  • Daily Balance — Receive an alert once each day with your current available balance.
  • Withdrawals — Receive alerts when certain transactions (debit card transactions, checks received for processing, account transfers, ACH debits, withdrawals made at a Regions branch) reduce your available balance.
  • Credits & Deposits — Receive alerts when certain transactions (ACH credits and direct deposits, account transfers, deposits made at a Regions branch/ATM or from the Regions Mobile app) result in a credit or deposit to your account.
  • Balance Threshold — Receive an alert once per day when a transaction causes your available balance to fall below or continue to be less than an amount you set. (Note: This alert may not be triggered by all transaction types.)
  • Negative Balance — Receive an alert once per day when a transaction causes your available balance to drop below or continue to be less than $0.00. (Note: This alert may not be triggered by all transaction types.)

Banking alerts are email alerts3 designed to let you know as soon as possible when you have a communication from Regions so you are aware of changes to your account(s) before the mail is delivered. These notifications may include time-sensitive information, such as overdrafts or account profile changes.

Examples of banking alerts:

  • Security — Confirmation of password reset, profile preference changes and more
  • Regions LockIt® — Updates about LockIt controls, such as blocked transactions
  • Deposit Holds and Overdraft — Courtesy notices that provide details about certain holds on deposits and activity related to overdrafts

If you already access your accounts via Regions Online Banking4 and/or the Regions Mobile app5, you can set up and manage your alerts by choosing Alerts from the Customer Service tab in Online Banking or from the main menu of the app. Alerts preferences can be personalized to each account user. Log in to see the options available to you. Please note: When you select Add/Edit Delivery Methods for alerts, your changes will not affect the contact information you have on file for other kinds of communication from Regions. You can make sure those details are current by choosing the Settings tab in Online Banking or from the main menu of the app.

If you are not currently enrolled in Online Banking or online statements, you can still benefit from the alerts service — provided you are the primary account holder and have a valid email address on file with Regions, you will automatically receive email alerts6 for overdrafts and overdraft protection transfers. Find out how to keep your contact information current for these communications from Regions.
