By using simple text commands, we’ll provide you up-to-date account information. Text banking lets you simply and securely request information about your accounts and transfer funds. Getting the answers you need is only a text away.

How to Set Up Text Banking

  • In Regions Online Banking 1 : From the Customer Service menu, select Notification Center. In preferences, select Manage Text Banking and your preferred accounts and phone numbers. 
  • In the Regions mobile app 2 : From the main menu, select Alerts. Select Manage Text Banking and your preferred accounts and phone numbers.

How It Works

  • Send an approved command to the Regions short code REGBNK (734265) to request the information you need. For example, text BAL to get balances for all of the accounts you’ve set up in text banking.
  • Receive a text message reply right away.
  • Add this number as a contact on your mobile device to easily send messages in the future.
  • Message and data rates may apply.

Text Commands

INFO Receive a list of all available commands
BAL Receive the account balance on all enabled accounts
BAL + [NICKNAME] Receive the account balance for the account nickname provided
LAST Receive the account history in the designated default account
LAST + [NICKNAME] Receive the account history for the account nickname provided
TRA Transfer funds between two eligible accounts using the mobile account nicknames 
Example: TRA ck01 sv02 10.00
STOP Stop receiving messages

We also offer customizable alerts 3  that automatically notify you via push notification, SMS/text message 4 or email message. Keep track of your balance, confirm deposits, know when a check clears and set up LockIt® card controls.

In addition to optional alerts, starting April 29, 2021, we will automatically provide you with email alerts on certain account activity. Email alerts for overdrafts and overdraft protection transfers will be expanded to include customers without electronic statements. We will also add optional text/SMS and push notifications to the existing automatic email alerts for certain holds placed on your deposits. Please be sure to keep your account-related email address 5 and mobile number up to date so that you will receive alerts in a timely manner.
