Zelle Service Conversion

Digital Banking

Regions has partnered with Zelle® to replace use of Personal Pay. Zelle is easy to use via Online Banking or our mobile app.

What is Zelle®?

Zelle is a new way for Regions customers to send money directly between almost any U.S. bank account, typically within minutes.* With just an email address or U.S. mobile phone number, you can quickly, safely, and easily send money to almost anyone you know with a bank account in the U.S. Zelle should not be used to send money to people you don't know or in instances where you aren't sure you'll get what you are purchasing.

Ask your recipient to enroll with Zelle before you send them money – this will help them get your payment more quickly. If the recipient is not enrolled with Zelle, it may take between 1-3 business days after the recipient has enrolled for the money to be available.

*Transactions typically occur within minutes when the recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number is already enrolled with Zelle.

What should I use Zelle® for?

Zelle is a great way to send money to family, friends, and people who you are familiar with such as a classmate, babysitter or a neighbor.

If you don't know the person, or aren't sure you will get what you paid for (for example, items bought from an online bidding or sales site), we recommend you do not use Zelle since these transactions are potentially high risk. Once you have authorized and made a payment through Zelle, it may not be possible to reverse the payment or recover the funds.

Is there a limit to how much money I can send using Zelle®?

Yes. Transfer limits may vary. For more information about limits within Regions Bank once Zelle service is available, visit Regions Online Banking or Mobile App and access the Zelle payments section. These limits apply only to Zelle transactions when initiated from Regions Online Banking or Regions Mobile App. Transactions initiated from the separate Zelle mobile app are governed by a separate User Service Agreement with Zelle and may be subject to different limits.

How will my recurring and scheduled payments be affected?

We want to make you aware that the conversion to Zelle could impact payments you already have scheduled in Personal Pay for delivery on or after November 29, 2018. The daily and monthly payment limits within Zelle may be lower than your Personal Pay limits. Any payments you have scheduled in Personal Pay for delivery on or after November 29, 2018 will automatically be converted to Zelle and made as scheduled as long as the payments fall within your new Zelle limits. Scheduled Personal Pay payments that exceed your new Zelle limits will be canceled and will not be made as scheduled. You will receive a notice if your scheduled payment is canceled. Your new Zelle limits will be displayed within the Zelle section of your Online Banking and Mobile app.
