FAQ

What is Overdraft Protection?

Regions Overdraft Protection links your checking account to a Regions savings or money market account, credit line or credit card. If your checking account is overdrawn, available funds from linked accounts will be automatically transferred to cover your transactions. We do not charge a transfer fee for Overdraft Protection transfers. Please refer to Credit Card Agreement and Deposit Agreement for additional details.

To learn more and enroll for Regions Overdraft Protection, log in to Regions Online Banking and select the Customer Service tab. Then select Manage Overdraft Protection from the Account Services section to see options to cover your accounts. If you want to apply for a savings, money market, or credit card account to use for overdraft protection, select Open New Account from the Account Overview page. Overdraft protection is subject to the terms of the Regions Deposit Agreement.

Remember, you can also use the “I want to” menu from many pages to navigate to many common tasks.
