FAQ

Can I cancel a payment I made using Zelle®?

You can only cancel a payment if the person you sent money to hasn’t yet enrolled with Zelle. If the payment is still pending, you can go to your "Payments” area within Regions Online Banking or the Regions mobile app, then choose the Activity page. Choose the payment you want to cancel and then select “Cancel This Payment.” If your recipient has already enrolled with Zelle, the money is sent directly to your recipient’s bank account and cannot be canceled. Once you have authorized and made a payment through Zelle, it may be impossible to reverse the payment or recover the funds. If you sent money to the wrong person, we recommend contacting the recipient and requesting that they return the money. If you aren’t able to get your money back, please call us at 1-800-472-2265 so we can try to help you. Please refer to the "Electronic Fund Transfer Disclosure to Consumers" in the Regions Agreement and Disclosure Statement for Electronic Banking Services for more information about stopping recurring or other preauthorized electronic fund transfers from your account.
