What is an IRA?

An IRA is an Individual Retirement Account. IRAs are a tax-advantaged or tax-deferred way for you to save for retirement. In some IRAs, you can invest in mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and exchange traded funds. Regions also offers FDIC -insured bank IRAs, in which you can invest through money market, fixed- rate CDs, or 18-month variable rate products[1].
