You have certain rights under federal law related to resolving errors in the servicing of your home equity loan and requesting information about your home equity loan.


If you want to request information about your home equity loan or if you believe an error has occurred in the servicing of your loan and would like to submit an Error Resolution or Information Request, you must send it to our exclusive address for Error Resolution and Information Request listed below.

When requesting information or notifying us of an error, please include the following information.

  • Name(s) of Borrower(s)
  • Information allowing us to identify your mortgage loan (i.e. loan number, property address etc.)
  • The specific information requested or the specific error you believe has occurred.

Your request for information or error notice will be acknowledged in writing within five (5) business days of receipt unless excused under the applicable regulation.

A final written response to an error notice will be issued unless excused under the applicable regulation.  This response will include:

  • Correction of the error
  • The effective date of the correction
  • Contact information for further assistance

Or

  • Our determination that no error occurred
  • The reasons for that determination
  • Your right to request documents we relied upon in making the determination
  • How you may request those documents
  • Contact information for further assistance

A final written response to a request for information will be issued unless excused under the applicable regulation.  This response will include:

  • The information requested
  • Contact information for further assistance

Or

  • Our determination that the requested information is not available
  • The basis for that determination
  • Contact information for further assistance
