Regions Bank and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) invite small-business owners in Houston and surrounding communities to apply to the Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) program. Applications will be accepted through September 23, 2022.
What is the Inner City Capital Connections program?
Inner City Capital Connections (ICCC) is a tuition-free, 40-hour “mini-MBA” program that provides small-business owners in under-resourced communities with capacity-building education, one-on-one coaching, networking opportunities and insights on successful methods of accessing capital.
FAQs about applying for ICCC
Independent, for-profit or non-profit corporations, partnerships or proprietorships in any industry that:
- Are located in an under-resourced community, including, but not limited to LMI census tracts, opportunity/promise zones, inner cities, etc.
- Have revenue histories for the past three years or more, generating a minimum revenue of at least $150,000.
- Have been in operation for three years or more and past the proof-of-concept stage. ICCC does not accept start-up companies.
The flexible, 40-hour leadership training program is spread across a six-month period. It includes four components:
- The opening seminar on October 5, 2022
- The digital learning series
- One-on-one coaching
- The Annual Conference taking place virtually in December 2022
- Strategies for business recovery and growth, along with long-term sustainability
- Capital relief solutions to help businesses access much-needed growth capital
- One-on-one business mentoring and capital coaching to tackle specific challenges
- A digital marketing plan and industry-specific marketing tools
- Talent management skills such as effective hiring practices and organizational restructuring
- Finance skills such as understanding key metrics and financial documents and pre-assessing capital readiness
