Regions LockItSM gives you the power to customize your Regions personal credit cards, CheckCards, prepaid Now cards and ATM cards to fit how, when and where you use them. Simply lock the controls for the transactions you want to block, and unlock them as often as you’d like — quickly and easily — from your Regions Mobile App or through Online Banking.

Select the controls to block the transactions that are right for your situation. If you misplace or lose your card, lock the All Transactions control until you find it or can report it as lost. If you just want to manage how your card is used, lock only the controls for the transactions you want to secure so you feel confident knowing your card is being used when and where you want.

LockIt offers four convenient types of card control:

All Transactions

When you lock the All Transactions control, your card cannot be used for:

  • All purchases (online, in-store and other)
  • Call Center transfers
  • ATM cash withdrawals
  • ATM transfers to deposit accounts
  • Non-recurring transactions
  • Credit card cash advances from an ATM, Regions branch or another Visa bank

In-Store Purchases

When you lock the In-store Purchases control, your card cannot be used for purchases in stores.

Online Purchases

When you lock the Online Purchases control, your card cannot be used for purchases online or by phone or mail.

ATM Transactions

When you lock the ATM Transactions control, your card cannot be used for cash withdrawals, transfers to deposit accounts, or credit card cash advances at ATMs.

LockIt controls will not block all transactions on your card.

  • They will not block transactions processed when standard authorization systems are not used.
  • They will not block merchant-identified recurring transactions, credits to your account, ATM deposits, ATM Now Card loads, ATM payments (including transfers from your deposit accounts to your credit accounts), ATM check cashing, ATM inquiries or ATM account mini statements.
  • If your credit card provides overdraft protection to your checking account, they will not block overdraft protection advances.

Monitoring Blocked Transactions

Access the Blocked Transactions tab within LockIt on your Regions Mobile App or in Regions Online Banking to review the history of transactions that were declined due to a control you have locked on your card.

 

LockIt Alerts

To get alerts about declined transactions delivered to your mobile device, set up and manage LockIt alerts through the Manage Alerts tab on your Regions Mobile App. When you use Regions Online Banking to lock any controls, we’ll automatically notify you by email each time we block a transaction. There is no set up necessary.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I enroll my Regions card in Regions LockItSM?

No enrollment is necessary. Regions LockIt is available through the Regions Mobile Banking App on all personal credit cards, CheckCards and prepaid Now cards and ATM cards. LockIt is not currently available on business cards.

How can I start using LockIt from my mobile device?

Once logged in to your Regions Mobile App, you can access LockIt card controls from the My Accounts screen – there are two ways you can do it.

  1. Choose the account for the card you want to control, then select the Edit link next to Manage Card with Regions LockIt.
  2. From the main Menu at the bottom of the screen, select Settings, Regions LockIt, then the card you want to manage (if you have more than one card).

How can I start using LockIt through Regions Online Banking?

To access LockIt through Regions Online Banking, log in and select Manage Regions LockIt from the "I Want To" dropdown menu on the top-right corner of your dashboard. You can also access LockIt controls by selecting the account for the card you want to manage, then Manage Regions LockIt under your Available Balance.

Can I lock a control on my Regions Mobile App and unlock it through Online Banking (and vice versa)?

You can use Regions LockIt on both your Regions Mobile App and in Online Banking to lock or unlock card controls. Regardless of which method you use to lock or unlock a control:

  • It's effective immediately and will be reflected on both the Mobile App and in Online Banking
  • Any blocked transactions are listed on the Blocked Transactions tab on both the Mobile App and in Online Banking

When you use Online Banking to lock a control, we’ll automatically send you an email each time we block a transaction due to that control. If you use your Regions Mobile App to lock a control, you will not receive email notifications when we block a transaction due to that control.

To receive emails about blocked transactions, you must use Regions Online Banking to lock the controls. To receive LockIt alerts about blocked transactions on your mobile device, you must set up and manage LockIt alerts through your Regions Mobile App.

How do I set up LockIt alerts on my mobile device?

There are two ways you can setup and manage Regions LockIt alerts on your mobile device once logged in to the Regions Mobile App.

From the Manage Alerts tab within LockIt:

  1. Select Manage Alerts.
  2. Select the registered device(s) you want the alert delivered to.
  3. Save your preferences.

From the Settings menu on the Accounts screen:

  1. Select Settings.
  2. Select Alerts.
  3. Select the Account to which the alert applies.
  4. Select RegionsLockIt.
  5. Select the registered device(s) you want the alert delivered to.
  6. Save your preferences.

Note: If you have not registered a mobile device for alerts, you will be prompted to complete this step first.

How do I sign up for LockIt email alerts?

When you use Regions Online Banking to lock a control, we’ll automatically send you an email each time we block a transaction due to that control. There is no set up required.

If you use your Regions Mobile App to lock a control, you will not receive email notifications when we block a transaction due to that control. To receive emails about blocked transactions, you must use Regions Online Banking to lock the controls.

Why/when should I use LockIt?

Using Regions LockIt card controls can help reduce the risk of unauthorized use of your cards. Select the level of control required to block the transactions you need for your particular situation — for example, if you suspect fraud, misplace your card or just want to manage how and where a card is used.

What happens when I lock a control?

You will not be able to use your card for the type of transactions blocked by that control.

What happens when I unlock a control?

The types of transactions covered by that control will not be blocked unless you have locked another control that will block them.

How quickly will a control lock/unlock work?

As soon as you lock/unlock a control, all new transactions covered by that control will be immediately blocked/unblocked.

What if I don’t have my mobile device and want to lock/unlock a control?

You can log in to Regions Online Banking to manage LockIt controls, or call us at 1-800-REGIONS (1-800-734-4667) for assistance.

Will locking the All Transactions control stop monthly bill payments automatically drafted from my account?

Payments or automatic drafts identified by the merchant as recurring transactions will not be blocked.

Can I still use my card at an ATM if I lock the ATM transactions control?

You can still use your card at an ATM to:

  • Make a deposit to your checking account
  • Load funds to your Now Card
  • Cash checks
  • Make payments (including transfers from your deposit accounts to your credit accounts)
  • Check account balances
  • View/print account mini statements

Why won't LockIt block card transactions when standard authorization systems are not used or unavailable?

"Standard authorization systems” refers to the network systems that are used to obtain actual authorization from issuers for card transactions. LockIt will not stop card transactions that are not processed through these systems, such as:

  • When these systems are down and transactions are processed through alternative authorization solutions.
  • When a merchant chooses not to get authorization.
